Dryer vent cleaning
A full cleaning clears lint from the whole exhaust path: the transition hose behind the dryer, the duct inside the wall, ceiling or attic, and the exterior hood or roof cap. Technicians typically use rotary brushes and high-powered vacuums or air tools sized for residential 4-inch ducts, working from one or both ends of the run.
Typically includes
- Disconnecting and reconnecting the dryer
- Brushing and vacuuming the full duct run
- Clearing the exterior hood or roof cap
- Checking airflow at the termination afterward
